The restaurant is said to be on track to be awarded the Gold award by SKA rating.

wagamama has opened a new restaurant in Clarks Village Shopping Outlet that features tables made from recycled chopsticks.

The restaurant, which wagamama calls its most sustainable restaurant to date, has furniture made from at least 80% recycled or reused materials.

The new restaurant is said to be on track to be awarded the Gold Award by SKA Rating. The SKA rating is an environmental assessment tool, benchmark, and standard created by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) specifically for commercial office fit-outs.

A gold rating signifies a thorough incorporation of sustainability elements and the highest possible score in the evaluation. It indicates excellence in environmentally responsible office interior design and fit-outs.

“We are so excited to have opened the doors to our brand-new restaurant in Clarks Village and are proud to announce this as our most sustainable restaurant yet. Our benches here, made of 100% recycled materials including our chopsticks, are now welcoming the local community and visitors of the outlet shopping destination, and we can’t wait to serve up some of our newest dishes and fresh favourites!”  Sita Wood, Head of Regional Marketing at wagamama said.
